Dog Licenses and Kennel Permits
All dogs owned by a resident of the Town of Emmet must be licensed by April 1st of each year. Individuals renting property in the Town of Emmet must also license any dog they own; this is also a state law. Please License your dog(s).
Unlicensed/untagged, stray dogs can make it difficult to ensure that they find their way back home. Additionally, if a stray dog is called in and the owner cannot be readily found they will be picked up by Dodge County Humane Society. When that occurs there are additional charges/fines that you, the owner, incur as a result. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, please license your dog(s) and ensure they are wearing them.
A kennel permit is required by Town Ordinance.

Questions about a Conditional Use Permit from Dodge County regarding a kennel should be directed to Dodge County Zoning. A Conditional Use Permit is required from Dodge County for kennel operations.

License Fees
$5.00 - Neutered male or spayed female
$10.00 - All other dogs
$25.00 - Late Filing Fee (March 31st annually).
